Step 5: Verify by Preview and Publish your work

This is the last step; now, with a simple click your Flash slideshow is ready to be paged up and published on the website

Button "Preview"

Use for a quick check of your Flash Slideshow with the selected Flash Template, images and options:
a: Click on the button: "Preview"

Note: in the “Preview” only some of the loaded images are shown. This speeds up processing.

Box " JPG Compression Options":

This option controls the image quality within the swf file

To use this option:
a: move the slider to set the JPG image compression factor.

Note: moving the slider toward the lowest values = less weight, less quality

Box "HTML Source script":

This option allows the insertion of Title and Keywords in Metatags html file (used by search engines).

Button "Publish"

This button creates one .swf file and one .html file from your work, simultaneously running a work preview.

To Publish your Flash slideshow in .Swf file format:

a: Click on the button: “Publish”
b: In the new window create a new folder
c: Open the new folder,
d. Name the file and save it in this position

Note:, please, arrange a new folder where to save your work before to publish your work.

Creation of a Multigallery:

A2 Flash Builder allows you to create a multigallery all in flash!
After the creation of a first gallery with the procedure described above, proceed in the following way:

a: Click on: "new gallery"
b: Click on the label: "gallery2"
c: Click on the voice: "selects gallery"
d: proceed as described above for creation of single slide-show

Rename a gallery:

To use this option:

a: Click on the label of the gallery to be renamed;
b: Click on: "Rename gallery"
c: Type the new name

Remove a gallery:

To use this option:

a: Click on the label of the gallery to be removed
b: Click on: "Remove gallery"

This command removes all the images in the gallery

Remove all the images loaded in a gallery:

To use this option:
a: Click on the label of the gallery from which all images are to be removed.
b: Click on: "Remove gallery"

This command removes all the images in the gallery

Other commands

Command: Save
Saving the project (filename.jfx) allows you to archive your work and reopen it later using the command:
“Open” (filename.fxw) for any modifications or additions;

Yes! One gallery can be updated very quickly with A2 Flash.

ATTENTION: the project file (filename.jfx) must always be located in the same folder as the published work.

Command: Open project

This command is used to reopen one saved project for editing.

To reopen a saved project:
a: load the file with the extension .jfx (filename.jfx)

To show the images contained in the project and add others or remove some:
a: click on label ( box on the left ) of gallery which you want to change (e.g. "gallery1")
b: from the menu (e.g. "gallery1"), click on: "Select gallery"
All the images within the saved project are now shown

Attention: the project file (filename.fxw) must always be located in the same folder as the published work.
