Glyphs-Symbol

Font Info

In Glyphs you have access only to a small subset of font info. This is to simplify the setup.

Glyph names are automatically converted to a readable name (e.g. if you input "afii10017", it will be converted to "Acyrillic").

If you don’t know the exact glyph name but the unicode value, you can use "uni"+unicode index. (e.g. uni0410 for the cyrillic uppercase "A").

Font Naming

  1. Goto "Menu" > "Font Info" > "Font"

  2. Set the base family name in the "Family Name" Field.

  3. Goto "Instances"

  4. If there is no Instance, add one with the + in the lower left corner.

  5. Set the values as needed.

The Grouping is there to build windows style linked families (Regular, Italic, Bold, Bold Italic).
