iKanji has two key study tools, a flash card based kanji reference
The starting point for when you want to learn kanji. Kanji are organised in two ways – by the school grades at which they are taught in Japan and by the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) order aimed at foreigners. We've further subdivided the kanji into blocks of 20 to make studying the larger sets more manageable.
The vocabulary browser provides a simple interface to browse a large selection of common Japanese words, complete with kana and English meanings. Because everybody will have different priorities for which words they want to learn, we've made it easy to build your own vocabulary sets for study. It's also simple to add your own words.
iKanji 2 features a Leitner based spaced repetition system (SRS) for training kanji and vocabulary.
Kanji training focuses on understanding kanji readings both on their own and in the context of common vocabulary.
Vocabulary training will help you be able to read words containing kanji and understand their English meanings.
