EXPERIENCE:
9/96 - present Programmer/Analyst, Consultant
Company Name, City
Participated in design and development of a worldwide application for Automated Reinsurance Business. The system based on proprietary framework and the problem domain, designed and implemented extensively using object-oriented concept and the most advanced programming techniques. Operational database (implemented in Oracle 7.3 RDBMS) consists of over 300 database tables and based on highly sophisticated logical design. As a conversion programmer was responsible for conversion of complex business data from multiple legacy (Mainframe and PC based) data sources to the designed system ¨ Created generic framework classes for data retrieval from multiple, vendor independent data sources upon runtime loaded input specifications. Designed and created conversion program, extracting business entities from legacy databases and then submitting appropriate entities to the Problem Domain after business defined manipulations. The program was designed using design patterns by G. Booch for class design and implementation. Rogue Wave Tools.h++ collection and template based classes were used for providing advanced in-memory data manipulations. Used DBTools.h++ wrapper classes to optimize database access and provide high performance object level of database manipulations. ¨ Designed, created and managed conversion databases. Created stored procedures and scripts providing business related validations and corrections of legacy data. Implemented reverse and forward engineering, wrote complex balancing reports using COGNOG and Oracle SQLPLUS. ¨ Performed conversion of existing databases from Sybase 11 to Oracle 7.3 DBMS. Identified and resolved architectural differences, involved in conversion: datatypes mapping, stored procedures implementation, administering and data storage issues.
1/95 - 8/96 Programmer

Developed application for management system to run in a Client/Server, windows front-end environment utilizing Visual C++. This is a critical application designed to manage processes of design, construction and maintenance of power substations. The application consist of over 50 windows and 80 database tables. Designed the applications ancestor objects, based classes and global functions, that comprised the framework of the application, utilizing object-oriented concepts. Provided primary production support, which required constant interaction with the users.
7/92 - 1/95 Created the program interface between CAD/CAM MEDUSA Drafting system and the database Oracle 7.1(UNIX SunOS 4.1/C) using C. The program includes deamon processes on local and remote servers using TCP/IP sockets connections, routines implementing interprocess communications. Provided program support and product maintenance in Oracle 7.1 Client/Server environment. Developed a plan for data layout, implemented referential and semantic integrity rules, wrote triggers and stored procedures. Created programs for MEDUSA Drafting system environment ,technical drafting and design process, as well as program based symbol libraries and drafting blocks. Wrote shell scripts and user utilities.
3/90 - 7/92 Programmer
