How to play Tropico Jong™

Removing Bricks: The object of mahjongg solitaire is to match bricks so you can remove them from the playfield. Two bricks match if the images on top are identical. Before you can remove a brick it must also be free. A brick is free if there is no brick on top, and there is no brick to either the left or to the right of it.

Flower & Fruit Bricks: Bricks with flower or fruit symbols are special and can be match against each other even if the images do not match. (In classic mahjong these are the Wind and Season bricks.)

Butterfly Bricks: In addition to normal mahjong bricks, Tropico Jong™ also contains special butterfly bricks. These can be removed one by one. Find all butterfly bricks to complete the level!

Shuffle: All levels are solvable, but depending on how you play it is possible to end up in a situation where there are no matches left. In that case you must shuffle the game tiles or start again from the beginning.

The Map: In between the levels you see a map of Tropico Island, where your expedition route will be unveiled step by step. There is a total of 101 levels to complete, each marked by a spot on the map! Click on the big Play button to play the next level.

Butterfly Valley: From the map you can also access the Butterfly Valley. Here you can relax and view all the butteflies you have collected so far in the game. Click on a butterfly to show interesting information about it!

Game Tips

• Combos: If you remove tiles quickly enough you can get a combo and earn lots of extra points!

• Hints: If you feel blind and can not find a match, use the hint button for a little help.

• Additional Help: For each level you finish, you get one more shuffle, one hint and one undo. If you run out of these, you can play previously finished stages again to get some new!

• Matches Left: At the bottom you can see how many matches are left. When you make a match, look at this number. Depending on how it changes it will give you hints on where to look for new matches!

• Expert Mode: If you think the game is too easy you can enable expert mode at the map screen. Normally, bricks that are not free are slightly darker than the free ones - but not in expert mode! When playing in expert mode you have the chance to get a higher time bonus when finishing levels.

• Bonus Points: When you finish a stage you are awarded points for all tiles left on the playfield. These are worth more than getting them one by one, but less than the score you would get if you had taken them with combos!

• Highscores: You can play already completed stages again to try and get a better time. Simply click on the "level dot" at the map screen. The game keeps track of all scores and times for each level, and for each player profile, so you can compete against friends and family members to get the best scores!
